WONDERGROUND ARTS DEL MOVIMENT

MOMENTUM

From January 24 to 26
Popup - Descomptes

A kinetic poem about humanity, nature and gravity. This is how the company defines its latest work, in which three dancers – two women and a man – accompanied by a live musician explore the relationship between weight, gravity and intention through six dramatic actions inspired by Japanese Haiku poems: spinning, falling, crawling, climbing, hanging and flying. MOMENTUM is a minimalist acrobatic dance show evoking a timeless flow of states, bodies, places, dreams and forces.

Roser Tutusaus and Tom Weksler created the Wonderground Arts del Moviment company in 2018, applying a rich, versatile and interdisciplinary language that is expressed using the Movement Archery technique. In 2022, the company opened their own creative space, L’ILLA, for rehearsing and working on their artistic projects. Their pieces have toured internationally. Prior to forming their own company, the two artists worked respectively with a multitude of companies and choreographers: Roser Tutusaus with Anouk van Dijk, Erik Kaiel, Maria Rovira, Roberto Oliván, Pere Faura, Guy Nader/Maria Campos and Joan Català and Tom Weksler with Inbal Pinto, Avshalom Pollock, Rootslessroots, Guy Nader/Maria Campos and Roser Lopez Espinosa.
