LIPI HERNÁNDEZ

DATA, by Lipi Hernández, is a methodology put into action by this dancer and choreographer through the bodies and minds of the dancers who have worked with her on the pedagogical and choreographic projects of the last ten years. With a special interest in the relationship between the individual and the community, the main idea of her proposal is to transcend form through a physical practice based on meditation, mantras, Kabbalah and postmodern dance.

Lipi Hernández is a dancer, choreographer and researcher focussed on body and movement and currently teaches at the Institut del Teatre. She founded the Malqueridas contemporary dance company in 1995, with which she created several shows before transforming it into a research platform dedicated to the body and movement in 2007. She accompanies and supports projects and artists of national and international repute.
