Sol Picó, Candela Peña and La Shica work together in this piece to explore the role of women in modern society. They use irony to ask themselves why, in these times of political correctness and when Western women are constantly reminded that there are equal opportunities, it is still necessary to fight the same old battles. Accompanied by live music performed by percussionist Dani Tejedor and bass player Bernat Guardia, the three artists exchange their roles, interrelate, seek each other out, find each other. Through flamenco, a world they are not unfamiliar with though not specialists in either, they delve into the universe of the feminine.

Sol Picó is a professional contemporary dance company founded in 1994 by dancer and choreographer Sol Picó (Alcoy, Alicante). Since its beginnings, the company has taken a hybrid approach where different genres interact. Sol Picó builds bridges between opposing worlds, making apparently irreconcilable elements jell: flamenco dancing in pointe shoes; their warrior costumes veiling feminine archetypes; and the scale of the scenography, sharing the space with the organic part of their work.
