The poetic and mystical atmosphere that infuses the paintings of the Russian philosopher and writer Nikolai Roerich inspired this new creation by CobosMika. Its bold choreography, fast-moving and syncopated, incorporates elements of aerial dance and the visual arts. The work reflects on the vanity of human desires through the metaphor of pilgrimage. An exploration of the poetry of the body, cultural symbolism and the awareness of the inner journey that every human being sooner or later feels the need to undertake.

The company CobosMika was founded in Germany in 2000 by Olga Cobos, from Palamós on the Costa Brava, and the Slovakian Peter Mika. They had previously worked in such renowned companies as Rui Horta S.O.A.P Dance Theatre (Frankfurt), Russel Maliphant Company (London) and Ballet Gulbenkian (Lisbon), where Olga was prima ballerina, and had won such prestigious awards as the Grand Prix and Gold Medal at the VI Paris International Dance Competition and the Rudolf Nureyev Award at the same competition on the VIII occasion. Their broad repertoire is presented at festivals and theatres around the world and they have received support from the Robin Howard Foundation at The Place, London and the 1st Förderpreise Tanz in Munich, among other accolades. They are currently based at Vall-llobrega, Palamós.
