The result of research into mental disorders in general and autism in particular, [hullu] is an invitation to go beyond what is considered normal and experience relationships with other people from a peculiar perspective, different from the human one. Blick Théâtre is a mixture of humans and puppets. Its gestural theatre, without words, is based on the expressive movements of the three disciplines that the company works with: circus, clowns and puppets. The latter are characterized by their deep expressiveness. Their hands and feet are real, and thanks to their melancholic expressions they are able to reflect the most hidden side of human nature.

Loïc Apard and Johanna Ehlert have worked together since 1999. Matthieu Siefridt joined them in 2005 for the joint creation of the show Court-Miracles. After more than 500 performances in France, Europe and further afield, Court-Miracles continues on tour today. Following this collaboration, Johanna Ehlert, Matthieu Siefirdt and Loïc Apard maintained their artistic approach with [hullu] and then founded Blick Théâtre. Dominique Habouzit, who substituted Loïc in Court-Miracles, entered the company as a co-author. His previous works explore monstrosity, the gaze of the other, and the changes in human behaviour in extreme situations such as war. He takes a tender, unprejudiced look at the human condition.
