The Rogelio Rivel Circus School is taking part in the Circus Focus with a series of short artistic performances (15-20 min) in the entrance hall of Mercat de les Flors. In this way, the artists who will form part of the future generations of circus performers can make themselves known. These performances will consist of short demonstrations where the public can view different techniques (acro dance, juggling, Chinese pole, trampoline, aerial acrobatics, acrobatic balancing…). They will take place when the professional shows finish or to welcome the public before these start.

Training now plays a very important role in the professional careers of circus artists. The Rogelio Rivel School is the most important school for vocational training in the circus arts on the Catalan scene.

The following activities have been programmed for these days of circus:

Wednesday 2 April, Thursday 3 and Friday 4 April 9.30-9.45 pm, there will be demonstrations of the following techniques: Chinese pole with Gaston Villami, Marion Darier and Anna Äro; juggling with Juliette Grüss; and eccentric dance with Ivan Ekemark.

Saturday 5 April at 6.15 pm, at 8 pm and at 9.30 pm, there will be demonstrations of the following techniques: trampoline with Ole Schoene, Tony Mahon and Mara Daro; aerial acrobatics with Luna Nielsen and Gemma Isanda; and acro dance with Marco Lissa.

Sunday 6 April at 7.30 pm and at 8 pm, there will be demonstrations of the following techniques: acrobatic balancing with Ole Schoene, Illya Gendler and Marco Lissia; Chinese pole with Gaston Villamil; and acro dance with Lucile Monroig.
