A piece by Enric Palomar based on Bodas de sangre (Blood Wedding) by Federico García Lorca, whose extraordinary playwriting laid bare universal themes such as passion, death, revenge and despair. The director delves into the world of Lorca, searching for its essence and providing an almost mystical reading of the work. With more than twenty artists onstage, the play focuses on symbols, and especially the moon, a recurring element in García Lorca’s work. The moon, which Lorca dared to use as a character, is alive on the stage, and becomes a kind of cosmic source that draws in the characters, unable to ignore their inner nature.
